The Copper Canyon is a beautiful and majestic natural scenery. They are located in Chihuahua State, in the Sierra Madre Mountains.
This natural system consists of a series of 20 canyons and ridges, whose magnitude is four times higher than the Grand Canyon of Arizona; although different in nature; being narrower, deeper and abundant vegetation. The area covers an area of 60,000 km2 of rugged terrain. The Copper Canyon is crossed by the route of Chihuahua al Pacifico train known as the "Chepe". The stretch-Los Mochis Divisadero penetrates the mountain train to cross the rugged geography, passes by precipitous cliffs, crosses short and long tunnels and bridges waging rivers.

Path that an important part of the Canyon, a scenic route of 2.8 Km. Carried out in about 40 minutes. During this journey you can enjoy beautiful views of the majestic canyon, streams that form waterfalls and birds, including eagles and hawks, Tarahumara caves and grazing areas. The cable railway takes no intermediate posts, is a cable 2.800 meters using two cabins in a system "goandcome" while the other goes low. The cabins can accommodate 60 passengers. |

In the highest part of the canyon, the area where the journey starts from the cable route is zipline: 10 segments of zipline to reach the lower cable car station. With sections from 300 to 1.400 meters, over 6 kms of travel and above 400 meters in height, visitors can fly horizontally over 130 kms per hour over breathtaking scenery. The tours are guided as between stations trails and suspension bridges are for visitors to interact with the area. |

The Tarahumara or Raramuri (the swift-footed) as they call themselves, are a native indian tribe that has chosen to live apart from modern Western culture. Live a simple and somewhat primitive form existence, subsisting on corn, beans and their farm animals and live in caves or log cabins.
Today the Tarahumara constitute the largest indigenous group in the state of Chihuahua. They are characterized by excellent riders, women make beautiful woven and handmade crafts are quiet and reserved. Her clothes are colorful and their language the "Raramuri" Swabian and spacious.
According to the legend of the ancient inhabitants of the Sierra Madre, "the world was created by Rayenari (the sun god) and Metzoka (Goddess Moon)" and in his honor in this, the Tarahumara dance, sacrifice animals and drink "tesguino" (fermented corn).
